Finally, the confusion is over! The long-awaited Coal India GATE Recruitment 2025 update is here, and it brings excellent news for Mining Engineers.
As per the official Office Order No. 1403 dated 13 October 2025, Coal India Limited (CIL) — a Maharatna PSU under the Government of India — has confirmed that recruitment for Management Trainees (MTs) will undergo a major change.
From 2025 onward, all engineering disciplines except Mining will be recruited through Computer-Based Testing (CBT).
However, Mining discipline will continue to be recruited via GATE score only.
