SECL Chirmiri Mines Worker Trapped in Conveyor Belt, Body Severed into Two Parts

A tragic incident occurred at SECL’s NCPH Colliery, located in Chirmiri, where a worker, Lallu Prasad, tragically lost his life after getting caught in the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt’s drum caused his body to be severed into two parts. The accident happened during the first shift on Sunday at the R-6 Mine.
Lallu, a Category-1 worker, was in the process of changing the conveyor belt when the machine unexpectedly started. The worker got trapped in the rotating drum, leading to his immediate death.
Upon receiving the report, SECL’s management arrived at the scene, wrapped the body in plastic, and transported it to the Chirmiri Regional Hospital. The circumstances under which the conveyor belt was activated during maintenance are still under investigation, raising concerns about potential negligence in following safety protocols.

एसईसीएल के NCPH कोलियारी, चिरमिरी में एक दर्दनाक हादसा हुआ, जिसमें एक कर्मचारी लल्लू प्रसाद की मौत हो गई। कन्वेयर बेल्ट के ड्रम में फंसने के कारण उनका शरीर दो टुकड़ों में बंट गया। यह हादसा रविवार की पहली पाली में R-6 खदान में हुआ।
लल्लू प्रसाद, जो कैटेगरी-1 कर्मचारी थे, कन्वेयर बेल्ट को बदलने का काम कर रहे थे। इस दौरान कन्वेयर बेल्ट अचानक चालू हो गया और वे इसके ड्रम में फंस गए, जिससे उनकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई।
सूचना मिलने के बाद एसईसीएल के प्रबंधन के लोग मौके पर पहुंचे और शव को प्लास्टिक में लपेट कर चिरमिरी रीजनल अस्पताल ले जाया गया। इस घटना से यह सवाल उठ रहा है कि कन्वेयर बेल्ट चालू कैसे हुआ जबकि कार्य के दौरान इसे बंद किया गया था। इस घटना की जांच चल रही है, और इसके कारणों का खुलासा जल्द होगा।
